The exclusively primary differences between these two being size, display and system of data entry.

The DL stands inasmuch as dual layer, a technology which allows a lone disc to engross up to 8.5 GB of information.

Packaging plays an important role in product selling. If the package is bad then people might get the wrong notion that the product itself is also bad. Just like people, products get first impressions too.

The one problem with paying too much attention to feedback is that sometimes people take a while to adapt.

I’ll make the jump from goods to services for an example. If Facebook had responded to the flack they initially received over the newsfeed by doing a rollback they would have been shooting themselves in the foot.

People rapidly adjusted and now the newsfeed is the focal point of the site.

David, what struck me about the Tropicana redesign was that they got the new design all the way to the store shelf without getting the feedback that loyal and invested customers really disliked it. Seem like a terrific waste of time and money.
My husband and I (bot P&G alums) were dumbstruck by the generic-y package when we first saw it in the store. If our first reaction as marketing professionals was 'bad package redesign', how could the reaction of consumers have surprised Tropicana?
One bright spot, my kids think that the new twist cap with the texture of a real orange is very cool...except that it uses 15-20% more plastic.....

Possibly Phil. I also think the design does not to the brand justice. Maybe I'm in that minority, but it looks less like Tropicana and like a generic brand.
