Technology Director and Web Development Practice Lead

When it comes to technical design and implementation, Geoff has either seen or heard of almost all of it. Be it internet technologies, computer hardware, digital cameras, or robotic arms, Geoff’s read about them all. And in many cases, taken them apart and saw how they worked.
Geoff first learned of the internet when attending the University of Waterloo in the early 1990s, and created his first webpage after a particularly influential English course. The experience led him to his first eCommerce website in 1995, and to Critical Mass’ doors in early 2000.
In the years that followed, Geoff has followed and led best practice implementations on clients such as Mercedes Benz, Rolex, Michelin, Proctor & Gamble, Nike, and Dell. In addition to his current role as Technology Director, Geoff also leads best practices with our Web Development team and hosts monthly discussions with senior staff on up-and-coming technologies and techniques.
Prior to Critical Mass, Geoff worked for companies such as Radical Entertainment, Oasis Technology Systems, and Digital Equipment Corporation.
When Geoff’s not reviewing the newest toys coming to market (or ranting on Sowrey.Org), he likes to spend time with something considerably less bleeding-edge: maintaining steam locomotives.
